Privacy Policy
How Jinyu Denim collects, uses, shares and protects the information you send us through this website, by email or by WhatsApp.
This Privacy Policy explains how Jinyu Denim ("we", "us", "our"), a denim garment manufacturer located in Guangxi Province, China, handles personal information when you visit this website, submit an inquiry, chat with our website assistant, or contact our sales team by email or WhatsApp.
We process business contact information only. This site is a B2B manufacturer website and is not directed to consumers or to children.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Identification and contact data you type into our inquiry forms: name, email address, company, country, WhatsApp or phone number;
- Project data you choose to share: product interest, style numbers, quantities, target price, timelines and the content of your message;
- Files you attach to an inquiry, such as drawings, reference images, tech packs or specification sheets (images and PDF, up to 5 MB each);
- Messages you send through the website assistant, and any email address you leave there so that we can follow up;
- Correspondence we exchange with you afterwards by email or WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, requested page and time of the request. Our server logs this to keep the site secure and to rate-limit abuse;
- Marketing attribution: the referring page, landing page and UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) present in the link you arrived through. This tells us which campaign or channel produced an inquiry;
- Website analytics, only if we have enabled Google Analytics (see "Cookies and analytics").
2. How we use your information
- To answer your inquiry, prepare quotations and samples, and negotiate and perform a supply contract with you;
- To keep a record of your requirements so that repeat orders and follow-up production are accurate;
- To send you order-related updates and, where you have asked for it, occasional product or capability information. You can stop these messages at any time by replying to us;
- To operate, secure and improve this website, including preventing spam, fraud and abusive traffic;
- To measure the effectiveness of our marketing channels and advertising campaigns in aggregate;
- To comply with accounting, tax, customs and other legal obligations that apply to us.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in running a manufacturing business and responding to trade inquiries; your consent (for example for optional marketing messages or analytics cookies, where consent is required); and compliance with legal obligations.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only as far as necessary with:
- Service providers that host our website and email, deliver our notification emails, or provide analytics, acting on our instructions;
- Our own staff and, where relevant, production partners who need the technical details of your order (for example a wash house or fabric supplier), under confidentiality obligations;
- Professional advisers, auditors, and public authorities where we are legally required to disclose information or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- A buyer or successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or transfer of our business.
Because we work with international fashion brands, information may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own, including China. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses, and we limit transfers to what is necessary to handle your inquiry and orders.
4. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and customer records for as long as we have an active business relationship and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting and warranty obligations. As a guideline, we delete or anonymise inquiry data that has not led to any business relationship within 36 months of the last contact. Attachments you upload are stored separately from our public website files and are deleted when they are no longer needed for the project, or earlier on your request.
5. How we protect information
- Encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) transmission when the site is served over HTTPS;
- Administrator passwords stored only as salted scrypt hashes; no plain-text passwords are kept;
- Uploaded drawings and attachments are kept in a private directory that is not publicly reachable: they can only be opened by a logged-in member of our sales team;
- Access to the admin area is protected by session cookies, brute-force lockout and an audit log that records who accessed or changed what;
- File uploads are validated by content, not by file name, and are size-limited.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send payment card data or other highly sensitive information through this website; we never ask for it through the inquiry forms.
6. Cookies and analytics
- jyd_csrf — an essential security cookie that protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. It contains a random token, is HttpOnly, and expires after one hour;
- jyd_sid — a session cookie used only in the sales admin area after a team member logs in. Visitors never receive it;
- jyd_conv — a local browser entry (localStorage, not a cookie) that remembers your website chat conversation so the history survives a page reload. You can clear it through your browser settings;
- Google Analytics — loaded only when we have configured a measurement ID. In that case Google may set analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and receive your IP address and usage data. If we have not configured it, no analytics script runs at all.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential security cookie may prevent our inquiry forms from submitting.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information, or to restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive information you provided in a portable, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you also have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them, to request deletion, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@jinyu-denim.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity and your relationship to the business email address concerned.
8. Business contact data
Most of the information we hold is ordinary business contact data that you provided in your professional capacity (work email, company name, order requirements). If you are an employee of one of our customers and would like us to update or remove your details, contact us and we will action the request, keeping only what we must retain for accounting or contractual reasons.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always published on this page with the "Last updated" date shown above. Material changes that affect how we use information you have already sent us will be communicated by email where we hold your address.
